Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Lifelong Learning and Education Services Center (Education Office) provides MCAS personnel with traditional and non-traditional off-duty education programs. University of Maryland, Central Texas College, and the University of Phoenix branches are housed here to help our Service Members and family members reach their educational goals.

The College 101 and Tuition Assistance brief is conducted every Friday morning at 9 a.m. and is required for all service members before using Tuition Assistance their first time. No registration is necessary, just arrive at the Education Office around 8:50 to sign in. Civilians and spouses are also invited to attend, but do not receive government financing towards their college.

Lifelong Learning Services include: Adult Education counseling, Financial Aid counseling, DANTES testing (including but not limited to ASE, ACE, Praxis, ACT, SAT, ASVAB, DLPT, DLAB), Tuition assistance, USMAP (Apprenticeship program), SMART Transcripts, DISCOVER access, Military Academic Skills Program (MASP - formerly BSEP, Certificate Programs, and other various resources to help guide you on your educational journey.

PRAXIS Exam Registration

PRAXIS tests are teacher certification exams. The next testing date is 27 July 2010. To meet the strict DANTES/PRAXIS ordering deadline anyone desiring to test on the Tuesday, 27 July 2010 testing session MUST bring a military/DOD photo ID and register in person at the Education Office, Room 127, Bldg 411, no later than 1200, Friday, 4 June 2010.
