This program provides information and referrals to appropriate agencies on and off base, free coupons for commissary shopping, and free catalogs for mail order from U.S. compaines. The Information and Referral program also maintains a database of local information including sightseeing directions, maps, restaurants and shopping guides, and cultural events.

At Sekido warehouse near Kintai area, you can view the original size of partial Kintai bridge. It will take 30 to 60 min. You can also challenge to make a miniature Kintai bridge. Reservation and supply fees are required.

On Friday, 2 October and Saturday, 3 October, from 6:50 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the street near Tokuyama train station will be filled with food vendors, street performers and Yosakoi style dancers. On Saturday night, there will be a fireworks display at Tokuyama Bay area. Seating area available for a small fee.

Saijo area is well-known for brewing sake. On 9 and 10 October starting at 11 a.m., there will be a sake tasting area, event performance, live band and more. On 9 October the event will finish at 9:00 p.m. You can taste 900 different brands of Japanese sake and will need to pay admission fee for this area. You have to be a legal drinking age. If you plan to drink please take public transportation to get to the event area.

Historical music will be performed at Akama shrine. So come out and enjoy the night of Shimonoseki. The area will open at 6:30 p.m. and performance starts at 8:00 p.m. Ten short musical programs will be introduced to the audiences for free. Aki-Oota walking in Shinnyuzan-Information & Referral-8:00 AM

This walking event will be held at Mt. Shinnyuzan in Hiroshima prefecture. This includes a 30 km, 20 km, 10 km and 5 km walk. Participants must be in good shape and should not have any prior medical issues. There is a small registration fee.

At Waki Junior High school ground, there will be taiko drum performance, brass band, Japanese character show, and a flea market. It starts from 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 31st. This is a community oriented festival that you would enjoy.
