8 Habits of a Successful Marriage: A Day dedicated to you, your love, and continued happiness.

Marine Corps Family Team Building will be hosting a workshop to help you and your spouse build strong, healthy habits for your marriage. What's good can always get better! Dedicate a day to the most important person in your life.

The workshop will take place at Club Iwakuni and include a light breakfast spread, a custom lunch menu and light afternoon snack. Limited childcare options are available, contact MCFTB for details.

The 8 Habits of a Successful Marriage workshop series is based on Stephen R. Covey’s No. 1 bestsellers The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and The 8th Habit. This marriage workshop offers a framework for applying a universal, self-discovery approach that enables couples to communicate about their problems and resolve them successfully. Participants: 1) clearly define their vision as a family unit; 2) build a common sense of purpose, values, and goals; 3) learn a process to accomplish family goals; and 4) discover how to achieve better communication as spouses.

Learn to dine and make a lasting impression in a fun, interactive atmosphere!

This workshop will be taught by MCAS Iwakuni's very own Protocol Officer, Dave Garber. Mr. Garber possesses over 20 years of experience in the Protocol field and has attended premier training events in this area.

Mr. Garber will present topics of importance such as extending and accepting an invitation, seating guidelines, toasting rules, styles of eating (American vs Continental), silverware savvy and a host of other topics. This is an interactive class with the material being taught while you dine and put into practice what you have learned.

The class will be held at the Landing Zone Dining Room, Club Iwakuni. The cost for attendance, which includes a specially designed multiple course menu is $20 per participant. Reservations and payment must be received by March 16.
