The Lifelong Learning and Education Services Center (Education Office) provides MCAS personnel with traditional and non-traditional off-duty education programs. University of Maryland, Central Texas College, and the University of Phoenix branches are housed here to help our Service Members and family members reach their educational goals.

The College 101 and Tuition Assistance brief is conducted every Friday morning at 9 a.m. and is required for all service members before using Tuition Assistance their first time. No registration is necessary, just arrive at the Education Office around 8:50 to sign in. Civilians and spouses are also invited to attend, but do not receive government financing towards their college.

Lifelong Learning Services include: Adult Education counseling, Financial Aid counseling, DANTES testing (including but not limited to ASE, ACE, Praxis, ACT, SAT, ASVAB, DLPT, DLAB), Tuition assistance, USMAP (Apprenticeship program), SMART Transcripts, DISCOVER access, Military Academic Skills Program (MASP - formerly BSEP, Certificate Programs, and other various resources to help guide you on your educational journey.

The American College Testing (ACT) examination.

The ACT is used by many colleges and universities as an admissions requirement and also as a qualifier for certain military programs. It is for active duty personnel who have less than a year remaining on active duty or have a military program requirement for testing.
