Being married to an active duty military member is said to be one of the toughest jobs. To
meet the demands of the challenging lifestyle that our families experience every day, MCCS
offers a variety of programs that help build strong families. Marine Corps Family Team
Building (MCFTB), synchronizes distinct, complementary family readiness programs to include:
Readiness and Deployment Support; Family Readiness Program Training; Lifestyle, Insights,
Networking, Knowledge, and Skills (L.I.N.K.S); LifeSkills; Prevention and Relationship
Enhancement Program (PREP); and the Chaplains Religious Enrichment Development Operations
(CREDO). These programs work together to ensure commanders and program volunteers receive
necessary resources and support to facilitate family readiness.

Dine Like A Diplomat Runs from Friday, Feb 19 2010 10:00 AM to Friday, Feb 19 2010 1:00 PM Learn to outclass the competition with etiquette and protocol intelligence.Please join Marine Corps Family Team Building as we present "Dine Like A Diplomat." This course will be taught by MCAS Iwakunis very own Protocol Officer, Dave Garber. Mr. Garber possesses over 20 years of experience in the Protocol field and has attended premier training events in this area. Mr. Garber will present topics of importance such as extending and accepting an invitation, seating guidelines, toasting rules, styles of eating (American vs Continental), silverware savvy and a host of other topics. This is an interactive class with the material being taught while you dine and put into practice what you have learned.
The class will be held on February 19, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Talbots Dining Room, Club Iwakuni. The cost for attendance, which includes a specially designed four course menu is $15.00 per participant. Reservations to attend are required and must be received by February 12, 2010.

A step-by-step approach is taught which will help you create a pathway for living with fairness, integrity, service, and human dignity - principles that give us the security to adapt to change and wisdom and power to take advantage of the opportunities that change creates.
This is a three day workshop being held on 22, 23, and 24 February from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day in Building 411 Room 125.

Each venue incorporates tips and tools for becoming and staying mission ready for all phases of your Marine Corps career and/or your journey as a Marine Corps spouse.
Joining the festivities will be Unit Command Team members who are lending their talents as CASINO dealers! Hors d'ourves and refreshments will be served throughout the event. There will be opportunities to win items at each of the five venues and a Grand Prize will be awarded at the conclusion of the event.
