Temporary Lodging Facility

The Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF) provides accommodation for all official Temporary Additional Duty, Temporary Duty, and guest with Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Orders. Travelers in a Space Available status can request accommodations in the TLF as well. Space A travelers are authorized to request reservations 24 hours in advance of their arrival. The base rate for the Monzen Lodge (1LBK) is $60 per night and the Nishiki Lodge (1LBK) base rate is $90 per night. The Front Desk operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 day a year. Room Amenities:

Monzen Lodge (24, 1BK): All rooms feature a full kitchen, queen size bed, single (twin) pullout sleeper sofa bed, dresser, night stands, mirror, desk, armoire, DVD player, 37 inch flat screen color TV, data port for Internet access, bath with shower/tub.

Nishiki Lodge (1LBK): All rooms feature a full kitchen, bedroom with queen size bed, twin size bed, dresser, night stands, mirror, 32 inch flat screen color TV, private bath with shower, living room has queen pullout sleeper sofa bed, desk, armoire, DVD player, 32 inch color TV and data port for Internet access.

Base: Walking distance to MCX, Commissary, Club, Food Court, Sakura Theater, Gymnasium, Skateboard Park, and Olympic size indoor swimming pool.

Local: Iwakuni is a quiet town nestled in the southern portion of Honshu. In the winter, there are local ski/snow boarding resorts and hot springs. The rest of the year is perfect of hiking, beaches, boating and sightseeing beautiful mountainous country. The local area abounds with classic Japanese temples, Kintai Bridge and other cultural attractions.
